3 Phase Weight Loss Program

Optislim offer their VLCD weight loss program in three steps. You can start with any of the three steps, depending on how much weight you need to lose.

Step 1 is an accelerated weight loss program. In step one, you replace all three meals with a VLCD product. If snacking, you should snack healthy and include options such as green vegetables and some fruits. Also be sure to stay adequately hydrated throughout the day.

If planning to undergo this step you should consult your doctor before hand to make sure you are healthy enough to participate.

Step 2 Step 2 is a step down from step one and requires two meal replacements per day. Along with these two meal replacements you should include one healthy meal each day and the program recommends keeping all caloric consumption under 1,000 for the day.

Step 3 This step is helpful for those who want to maintain balanced weight loss. This step requires one VLCD meal replacement per day along with continued water consumption. A healthy, but daily exercise routine, is also recommended for steps two and three of this program.

Advantages Vs. Disadvantages

To be quite honest other than pure and simple weight loss we couldn’t find many benefits to this product. The extremity of this program makes it risky and a doctor should be consulted before you make the decision to go on a program of this kind.

However, unfortunately there are a lot of disadvantages to this program. In addition to only being produced and sold in Australia and the UK there is no scientific or clinical studies that can back up any of their claims.

There is also no included fiber in any of their products, making it essential purchase the additional fiber supplement on your own. You should also be aware that there is no list of ingredients anywhere to be found so we are unsure if the 25 essential vitamins and minerals are in fact included or not.

In Conclusion

Based on price, product ingredients and lack of clinical studies, we would not recommend trying this product. There are plenty of other products that can provide you with many of the same benefits at a better price and with clinically proven results.
