Depending on who you talk to, a potato could help you to lose weight. Just about everything under the sun has become a “weight loss revolution” according to at least one diet pill, and CLA, a good fatty acid, is actually one of the bigger ones. There are multiple diet pills that claim that scientists have proven that CLA can promote a stimulant-free fat burning effect when used properly.
InterACTIVE CLA comes as no surprise, using only this one ingredient derived from completely vegetarian sources for the health conscious. Part of this is based on the fact that studies have proven that dieters who regularly eat foods with good fatty acids actually lose more weight than those who don’t. However, there are also individualized studies that supposedly show that CLA makes a significant difference when subjects consumer 3200mg or more on a daily basis.
What Do Clinical Studies Say?
We have serious doubts and problems with the clinical studies on CLA. There are plenty of legitimate studies that show that CLA is a good fatty acid and CLA might lower cholesterol. However, those same studies show that CLA might actually lower good cholesterol too, which is not heart healthy.
The weight loss studies are something else. So far, so called weight loss studies are not prevalent (there are only two). The one study that we would consider potentially legitimate (because this study was conducted in a lab with a limited number of subjects) is extremely vague about the numbers and really any specific details.
One isolated lab study does not necessarily tell us whether or not a product is effective, that study could be a fluke anyway. Still, we want to know how much test subjects lost compared to the placebo, and we want to know more details about why subjects thought that they “felt better.” InterACTIVE CLA does not provide these basic details.
Does InterACTIVE CLA Have the Right to Be Called a Diet Pill?
InterACTIVE CLA uses one ingredient that has limited studies, if you consider the studies to be legitimate at all. Based on some of the more comprehensive studies, we have our doubts about the heart health benefits of CLA. Some studies show that CLA does not lower cholesterol at all while other studies show that this good fatty acid also lowers good cholesterol.
Most dieters just assume that CLA promotes better heart health because cousins like omega fatty acids have powerful studies to back them up. CLA does not have anywhere near the comprehensive proof as compared to good omega fatty acids or for that matter weight loss ingredients like green tea.
If InterACTIVE CLA listed other ingredients or studies were more concrete, we might feel differently. For now though, we feel that InterACTIVE CLA does not necessarily have the solid foundation you might find with other competitors.
