FirmSlim is a product that has been designed by Transformulas to help ease the plaguing dilemma of cellulite.
Among other things, FirmSlim promises to firm and smoothe the skin, eliminate toxins, and “slim and contour the body.”
Rather than getting too excited about the thought of removing cellulite by just slathering our skin, we decided to do some research before we invested in FirmSlim.
Pros
Although FirmSlim does not publish their ingredients list, we could pretty well gather what its formula consisted of by reading what it claims to be.
Not only does FirmSlim promise to act as a diuretic, but it also describes itself as a “thermogenically active formula.” This leads us to believe that FirmSlim is a caffeine-based formula.
Anti cellulite creams that are based on caffeine work by dehydrating your skin cells, thus making your skin tighter and firmer.
Cons
Even though caffeine might reduce the appearance of your cellulite, it definitely can’t get rid of it forever, and the smooth skin probably won’t even last until you get out of the door.
Because the dehydration of cells works contrary to the body’s normal processes, your body will to restore equilibrium as quickly as possible. This means that the skin that was once tightened due to caffeine will soon be just as loose as it was before.
Unfortunately, FirmSlim is also unable to get rid of, or even decrease, the amount of cellulite you have. The appearance of cellulite is not due to how much fat you have, but rather how thin your skin is.
This is why there are so many skinny people with cellulite, and so few men that have problems with cellulite.
Although there may be some anti-cellulite creams that claim to be able to help you lose cellulite, they can only help reduce the appearance of cellulite.
Our Opinion
Even if FirmSlim could only be effective for a short while, we still wouldn’t buy this product because it is only sold by second party vendors. Products that are no longer produced are usually due to defect or unpopularity, which makes FirmSlim too risky an investment.
